Abstract：Objective：To observe the curative effect of scraping therapy with Li's Bian method in the treatment of frozen shoulder. Methods：A total of 80 cases of patients who met the requirement were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group， 40 cases in each group. Both groups were given oral administration of meloxicam tablets. The control group was given scraping therapy with scraping board made by buffalo horn，and the observation group was given scraping therapy with Li's Bian method. In the two groups， the scraping therapy was performed once every five to seven days， for a total of four times. Before and after four week streatment， pain degree was evaluated by short- form of the McGill Pain Questionnaire(SF-MPQ)， the active degree of shoulder joint function was assessed by Melle scale，and scores of Activity of Daily Living(ADL) were evaluated. Results： After treatment， the clinical effect in the observation group was better than that in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). The scores of Pain Rating Index， Visual Analogue Scale， Present Pain Intensity， Melle and ADL in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.01). The above five scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜ 0.01). Conclusion：Scraping therapy with Li's Bian method in the treatment of frozen shoulder can effectively relieve pain， and improve the motion range of shoulder joint and activity of daily living. It has better clinical effect than traditional scraping therapy.
