Abstract：Medical cases of chronic atrophic gastritis spleen-stomach dampness-heat syndrome at initial diagnosis by the chief Chinese medicine physician MA Weiming were collected and selected， and were input into the Chinese Medicine Inheritance Support System to analyze the prescription rule. Relevant Chinese medicines were collected according to Chinese medicine symptoms. Rules of prescription and symptom-oriented modification by MA Weiming in the syndrome differentiation and treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis with spleen-stomach dampness-heat syndrome were discussed，and his clinical experience was expounded. Finally，a total of 348 medical cases were included. Through the analysis of prescriptions，it was found that the commonly used Chinese medicines included Rhizoma Pinelliae Praeparatum， stir- bake Rhizoma Coptidis， Rabdosia amethystoides(Benth.) Hara， Flos Rosae Rugosae， Caulis Sargentodoxae and Amorphophallus sinensis Belval. Through the analysis of medical cases，it was clear that the top ten Chinese medicine symptoms were distension of stomach duct， stomach duct pain， bitter taste in the mouth and fetid mouth odor， hiccup， nausea and vomiting， sloppy stool， belching，heavy body and fatigue，acid reflux，as well as scorching heat in the stomach duct. Prescriptions that were related to different Chinese medicine symptoms were collected to carry out a “symptoms-Chinese herbs” analysis，so as to find out the rules of modification of prescription based on symptoms. It can be seen that the application of Chinese Medicine Inheritance Support System can present MA Weiming's individualized diagnosis and treatment mode of chronic atrophic gastritis，namely “combine the disease with the syndrome and eliminate symptoms based on syndrome differentiation”.
