Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Chinese medicine fumigation and washing assisting mecobalamin tablets for diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Methods:A total of 68 cases of patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy were selected as the research objects, and were divided into two groups according to the random number table method,34 cases in each group. Both groups were given basic treatment;the control group was additionally given mecobalamin tablets, and the study group was additionally treated with Chinese medicine fumigation and washing based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effect in the two groups was observed. Results:The total clinical effective rate was 94.12% in the study group, higher than that of 73.53% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of symptoms like pain, numbness and fatigue as well as Toronto Clinical Scoring System(TCSS) scores in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment, and the above scores in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). Before and after treatment, there were significant differences being found in the comparison of the nerve conduction velocity(NCV) including motor conduction velocity(MNCV) and sensory conduction velocity(SNCV) of median nerve and common peroneal nerve of the main limbs between the two groups(P<0.05);the above conduction velocities in the study group were better than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of Chinese medicine fumigation and washing assisting mecobalamin tablets for diabetic peripheral neuropathy can improve the clinical symptoms, nervous lesions and nerve conduction velocity,as well as the clinical effect.
