Clinical Study on Mouse Nerve Growth Factor Combined with Comprehensive Acupuncture and Moxibustion Therapy of “Santong Silian” for Intractable Peripheral Facial Paralysis
Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of mouse nerve growth factor combined with comprehensive acupuncture and moxibustion therapy of “Santong Silian” on intractable peripheral facial paralysis. Methods: A total of 60 cases with intractable peripheral facial paralysis were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to random number table method, 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with comprehensive acupuncture and moxibustion therapy of “Santong Silian”,and the observation group was additionally given point injection of mouse nerve growth factor based on the treatment of control group. The Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups before and after treatment were observed and the clinical effect was compared. Results:The total effective rate was 93.3% in the observation group, higher than that of 70.0% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference in the comparison of the syndrome scores between the two groups (P>0.05). After treatment, the Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the syndrome score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The application of mouse nerve growth factor combined with comprehensive acupuncture and moxibustion therapy of “three kinds of promotion and four kinds of combinations” for intractable peripheral facial paralysis, can improve the clinical symptoms of patients, and the clinical effect is significant.
