Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of Ruyi Huangjin ointment combined with manipulation of rotation，pulling and extension at fixed points on cervical spondylopathy of radiculopathy. Methods：A total of 126 cases with cervical spondylopathy of radiculopathy were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to random number table method，63 cases in each group. The control group was given manipulation of rotation， pulling and extension at fixed points， and the observation group was additionally treated with external application of Ruyi Huangjin ointment based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effect and the scores of Visual Analogue Scale (VAS)，Neck Disability Index(NDI) and MOS Item Short from Health Survey(SF-36) before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results：The total effective rate was 95.24% in the observation group and 80.95% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Before treatment，there was no significance in the comparison of VAS and NDI scores between the two groups(P＞0.05). After treatment，the VAS and NDI scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment，and the above two scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group， differences being significant(P＜0.05). Before treatment， there was no significant difference in the comparison of each score of SF- 36 between the two groups(P＞0.05). After treatment， each score of SF- 36 in the two groups was increased when compared with that before treatment，and each score of SF-36 scale in the observation group was higher than that in the control group，differences being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion：The therapy of Ruyi Huangjin ointment combined with manipulation of rotation，pulling and extension at fixed points has a significant clinical effect on the treatment of cervical spondylopathy of radiculopathy， which can improve the degree of neck pain and upper limb radiated pain，and enhance the quality of life of patients.
