Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Qingjin Zhuyu tang assisting western medicine for severe pneumonia. Methods:A total of 110 cases of patients with severe pneumonia were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, 55 cases in each group. The control group was given symptomatic treatment with routine western medicine,and the observation group was additionally given Qingjin Zhuyu tang based on the treatment of the control group. The levels of oxidative stress factors,inflammatory factors,Ceruloplasmin(CER) and Aquaporin 1(AQP1) in serum before and after treatment as well as the clinical effect in the two groups were compared. Results:The total effective rate was 89.09% in the observation group,higher than that of 74.55% in the control group,the difference being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment,there were no significant difference being found in the comparison of the levels of CER,AQP1,malondialdehyde(MDA),superoxide dismutase(SOD),interleukin-1(IL-1),interleukin-13(IL-13) and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment,SOD levels in the two groups were higher than those before treatment,and the levels of CER,AQP1,MDA,IL-1,IL-13 and TNF-α were lower(P<0.05); SOD level in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the levels of CER,AQP1,MDA,IL-1, IL-13 and TNF-α in the observation group were lower(P<0.05). Before treatment,there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the scores of Clinical Pulmonary Infection Score(CPIS) and Acute Physiological and Chronic Health Evaluation Ⅱ(APACHEⅡ) between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment,the scores of CPIS and APACHEⅡ in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the above scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of Qingjin Zhuyu tang assisting western medicine for severe pneumonia can reduce inflammatory reactions and oxidative stress injury,regulate the expression levels of CER and AQP1,and improve the clinical effect.
