Abstract:Objective:To discuss the microvessel growth and prognosis of patients with breast cancer of different Chinese medicine syndrome types. Methods:A total of 90 cases of patients with breast cancer were selected and divided into three groups according to different Chinese medicine syndromes, namely the liver depression and qi stagnation group(42 cases),the liver- kidney yin deficiency group(30 cases),and the blood stasis group(18 cases). The positive expression rates of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF),and human epidermal growth factor receptor-2(HER-2), the level of microvascular density(MVD),TNM staging,as well as histopathological grading were compared among the three groups. Results:The positive expression rates of VEGF and bFGF and HER-2 in the blood stasis group were higher than those in the liver depression and qi stagnation group and the liver-kidney yin deficiency group(P<0.05),the positive expression rates of VEGF and bFGF and HER-2 in the liver-kidney yin deficiency group were higher than those in the liver depression and qi stagnation group(P< 0.05). The MVD in the blood stasis group was higher than those in the liver depression and qi stagnation group and the liver-kidney yin deficiency group, and the level in the liver-kidney yin deficiency group was higher than that in the liver depression and qi stagnation group(P<0.05). The TNM staging of the liver depression and qi stagnation group and the liver-kidney yin deficiency group were mainly stageⅠ and Ⅱ;the blood stasis group was mainly in stage Ⅱ and Ⅲ. As for the histopathological grading, the liver depression and qi stagnation group was mainly in gradeⅠ,the liver-kidney yin deficiency group was mainly grade Ⅱ,and the blood stasis group was mainly grade Ⅲ. Conclusion:The microvessel growth and prognosis differ among patients with breast cancer of different Chinese medicine syndrome types. Among them, patients with blood stasis syndrome have better microvessel growth and a worse prognosis, and patients with the liver depression and qi stagnation syndrome have weaker microvessel growth and a better prognosis.
