Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of warm needling combined with yoga pose for shoulder periarthritis in freezing stage. Methods:A total of 92 cases of patients with shoulder periarthritis in freezing stage were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the treatment methods, 48 and 44 cases in each group respectively. The control group was treated with method of yoga pose, and the observation group was additionally treated with warm needling based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effect was compared between the two groups. Shoulder joint function as well as the levels of C-reactive protein(CRP) and nitric oxide(NO) in serum was compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Chinese medicine syndrome score and incidence of adverse reactions before and after treatment were counted. Results: The total effective rate was 91.67% in the observation group, significantly higher than that of 72.73% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, when compared the syndrome scores of limited joint movement, shoulder's fear of cold, muscle atrophy of shoulder, and numbness and lack of strength of affected limb, there was no significance in the difference(P>0.05). After treatment, the syndrome scores of limited joint movement, shoulder's fear of cold, muscle atrophy of shoulder, and numbness and lack of strength of affected limb in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and the four scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of score of shoulder joint pain between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, scores of shoulder joint pain in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and the score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of grading of shoulder joint function between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, the grading of shoulder joint function in the two groups was significantly improved when compared with that before treatment(P<0.05), but there was no significance difference between the two groups(P>0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of levels of CRP and NO in serum between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, levels of CRP and NO in serum in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and the two levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reaction was 10.4% in the observation group, lower than that of 27.3% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of warm needling combined with yoga pose has significant curative effect in the treatment of shoulder periarthritis in freezing stage. It conduces to improving clinical symptoms of shoulder, recovering the function of shoulder joint, and reducing levels of CRP and NO in serum, with safety.
