Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of comprehensive nursing assisting routine therapy for lumbar disc herniation. Methods: A total of 85 cases of patients with lumbar disc herniation were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,43 and 42 cases in each group respectively. Both groups were given routine treatment;the control group was given routine nursing methods, and the observation group was additionally given comprehensive nursing measures based on the treatment of the control group. The scores of quality of life before and after treatment, the nursing satisfaction, the incidences of adverse reactions and the recurrence within a year after treatment in the two groups were compared. Results: Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the scores of quality of life between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, the scores of quality of life in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). The score of nursing satisfaction in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 9.52% in the observation group, lower than that of 27.91% in the control group, the difference being significant(P< 0.05). Within a year after treatment, the recurrence rate was 2.38% in the observation group, lower than that of 18.60% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:Comprehensive nursing assisting routine therapy for lumbar disc herniation can improve the quality of life and the nursing satisfaction of patients,as well as reduce the incidence of adverse reactions and the risk of disease recurrence.
