Abstract:Among the autoimmune diseases, rheumatoid arthritis(RA) is a systemic disease with high morbidity and high mutilation rate in advanced stage, whose early diagnosis and treatment is still a difficult problem at home and abroad. Lung governing management and regulation, originated from Huangdi Neijing, mainly refers to the physiological function of the lung, which has been elaborated by physicians of successive ages. This paper reviews the connotations about lung governing management and regulation in ancient and modern literature, explores the etiology, pathogenesis, clinical characteristics and transmission rules of RA by the theory of lung governing management and regulation combined with domestic and foreign research and clinical practices, and discusses a new idea of treating RA by stages based on the theory of lung governing management and regulation.
