Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Banxia Xiexin tang combined with triple therapy for helicobacter pylori(Hp)-associated gastritis and its effect on levels of gastrin 17(G- 17)，pepsinogen Ⅰ(PGⅠ) and pepsinogen Ⅱ(PGⅡ) in serum. Methods：A total of 80 cases of patients with Hp- associated gastritis were selected and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group，40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with triple therapy，and the observation group was additionally treated with Banxia Xiexin tang based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for four weeks. The Chinese medicine syndrome scores and the levels of G-17，PGⅠ and PGⅡ in serum before and after treatment as well as the Hp eradication rates and the clinical effect in the two groups were compared. Results：The Hp eradication rate was 92.50% in the observation group，higher than that of 75.00% in the control group(P＜0.05). The total effective rate was 90.00% in the observation group， higher than that of 72.50% in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the scores of gastric fullness，poor appetite and digestion，nausea and vomiting and belching with pantothenic acid as well as the levels of G- 17，PGⅠ and PGⅡ in serum in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion： Banxia Xiexin tang combined with triple therapy for Hp- associated gastritis can effectively improve Hp eradication rates and clinical symptoms，and reduce the levels of G-17，PGⅠ and PGⅡ in serum.
