Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of Xiao'er Kechuanling oral liquid combined with western medicine for bronchitis in children. Methods：A total of 80 children with bronchitis were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group，40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional western medicine，and the observation group was additionally treated with Xiao'er Kechuanling oral liquid based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for six to eight days. The improvement of tachypnea，the disappearance of cough and severe shortness of breath，the time of body temperature back to normal，the disappearance of lung rales，and the time of chest radiography back to normal were compared and the clinical effect in the two groups was evaluated. Results：In the observation group，the improvement of tachypnea，the disappearance of cough and severe shortness of breath，the time of body temperature back to normal，the disappearance of lung rales，and the time of chest radiography back to normal were shorter than those in the control group(P＜0.05). The total effective rate was 92.5% in the observation group and 75.0% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion：The therapy of Xiao'er Kechuanling oral liquid combined with western medicine has better therapeutic effect than the single western medicine in treating children with bronchitis， which can quickly relieve the clinical symptoms and signs of children.
