Abstract:Objective:To summarize the administration rule of SHU Qijin in treating primary gastric cancer according to syndrome differentiation. Methods:Sixty-six patients with primary gastric cancer in outpatient department of SHU Qijin were included, with a total of 919 consultations. A prescription database was established via Microsoft Office Excel 2003 to descriptively analyze the frequency, category, nature and flavor of the Chinese herbs. IBM SPSS 19.0 and IBM SPSS Modeler 18.0 were used for systematic clustering and correlation analysis of the 45 herbs with the highest frequency. Results:A total of 167 kinds of Chinese herbs were used in the 919 visits of the 66 patients,and the cumulative frequency of use was 13 553 times. The herb of highest frequency was Chinese actinidia root,followed by ficus carica and coix seed. The category with the highest frequency was herbs for tonifying deficiency, followed by herbs for clearing heat, herbs for promoting urination and percolating dampness,and herbs for invigorating blood and dissolving stasis. The nature and flavor were mainly sweet,spicy,bitter and neutral. Cluster analysis divided the herbs into seven categories,including Shenling Baizhu powder, Shengmai powder, Sanren tang, etc., and the herb combinations were Fructus Chebulae and Herba Epimedii,Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae and Caulis Perillae,etc. According to analysis of association rule,the herb combinations were obtained as follows:Chinese actinidia root and ficus carica,Radix Astragali and Radix Codonopsis,etc. Conclusion: SHU Qijin focuses on the differentiation and treatment of gastric cancer from qi, blood, water, dampness, coldness and heat,and he mainly treats it by nourishing yin and tonifying qi,clearing heat and dissolving dampness,giving consideration to invigorating blood and eliminating concretions,regulating qi and dissolving phlegm,and combining qi and blood. He is good at prescribing formula involving herbs of sweet,acrid,bitter and neutral.
