Abstract:Objective:To study the effect of evidence- based nursing of Chinese medicine on patients after surgery for prostatic hyperplasia. Methods:A total of 83 cases of patients after surgery for prostatic hyperplasia were enrolled to conduct a prospective study. All patients were randomly divided into the study group and the control group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the study group was additionally given evidence-based nursing of Chinese medicine based on the nursing of the control group. Both groups were continuously treated for seven days. After nursing, the degree of urinary incontinence was evaluated by International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire- Urinary Incontinence- Short Form (ICIQ- UI- SF),and the degree of anxiety and depression was evaluated by Self- rating Anxiety Scale(SAS) and Self- rating Depression Scale(SDS) respectively. Results: The degree of urinary incontinence in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the scores of SAS and SDS were lower than those in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: For patients after surgery for prostatic hyperplasia, evidence- based nursing of Chinese medicine has a significant effect on improving postoperative urinary incontinence and a positive effect on their psychological state.
