Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Chinese medicine point application at abdomen for postpartum uterine contraction pain of multiparae. Methods:A total of 163 cases of multiparae were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,81 and 82 cases in each group respectively. The control group was intervened with routine nursing, and the observation group was additionally given point application at abdomen based on the nursing of the control group. Pain scores, quality of life, discharge time, and the satisfaction degree at discharge were compared between the two groups. Results: Pain scores on the first and second day after delivery in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group,the difference being significant(P<0.05). Scores of quality of life and satisfaction at discharge in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the hospitalization time was shorter than that in the control group,differences being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:Chinese medicine point application at abdomen can significantly decrease the degree of postpartum uterine contraction pain of multiparae,reduce the pain score,shorten hospitalization time,and improve quality of life and treatment satisfaction.
