Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Qili Qiangxin capsules combined with routine western medicine for ischemic cardiomyopathy(ICM) complicated with heart failure. Methods： A total of 232 cases of ICM patients complicated with heart failure were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group，116 cases in each group. The control group was given routine western medicine treatment method， and the treatment group was additionally treated with Qili Qiangxin capsules based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for three months. Chinese medicine syndrome scores before and after treatment and the clinical effect in the two groups were observed and compared. Before and after treatment， the indexes of ventricular remodeling including left ventricular end diastolic diameter(LVEDD)， left ventricular end- systolic dimension(LVESD) and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) in the two groups were measured. Results：The total effective rate was 97.41% in the treatment group，higher than that of 88.79% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)， and the score in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the levels of LVEDD and LVESD in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and LVEF levels were increased(P＜0.05)；the improvement of the above indexes in the treatment group was more significant than that in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion： Qili Qiangxin capsules combined with routine western medicine for ICM complicated with heart failure has good curative effect and can effectively improve ventricular remodeling of patients and relieve their clinical symptoms.
