Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Kushen Shechuangzi external washing prescription for eczema dermatitis and its effect on prognosis and recurrence. Methods：A total of 240 cases of patients with eczema dermatitis were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group，120 cases in each group. The control group was treated with compound calamine lotion， and the treatment group was treated with Kushen Shechuangzi external washing prescription.The scores of Eczema Area and Severity Index(EASI) and pruritus were applied to compare the symptoms of eczema dermatitis in the two groups before treatment， after 7， 14 and 28 days of treatment respectively. The treatment effective rates and the recurrence of eczema dermatitis in the two groups were compared. Results：After 7，14，28 days of treatment respectively，the scores of EASI and pruritus in the two groups were decreased when compared with those in the same group before treatment(P＜0.05，P＜0.01)；with the extension of treatment time， the scores of EASI and pruritus were decreased gradually(P＜0.05). The EASI scores in the treatment group were decreased when compared with those after 7 and 14 days of treatment in the control group(P＜0.05). After 28-day treatment，there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of EASI scores between the two groups(P＞0.05). After 7，14 and 28 days of treatment，the pruritus scores in the treatment group were decreased when compared with those in the control group(P＜0.05). After 28- day treatment， the total effective rate was 84.2% in the treatment group， higher than that of 69.2% in the control group(P＜0.01). After treatment，the recurrence rate was 22.8% in the treatment group，lower than that of 56.6% in the control group(P＜0.01)；the recurrence time in the treatment group was longer than that in the control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion： Kushen Shechuangzi external washing prescription can quickly and better reduce the symptoms of eczema dermatitis，with less recurrence after treatment and better curative effect.
