Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Chaihu Shugan powder combined with magnesium aluminum carbonate chewable tablets for gastroesophageal reflux disease. Methods: A total of 80 cases of patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease were selected and divided into two groups according to the random number table method, 40 cases in each group. The control group was given the oral administration of magnesium aluminum carbonate chewable tablets, and the observation group was additionally treated with Chaihu Shugan powder. The Chinese medicine syndrome scores before and after treatment as well as the clinical effect,the recurrence rate and the incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups were compared. Results:The total effective rate was 95.00% in the observation group,higher than that of 75.00% in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment,the Chinese medicine syndrome scores of acid regurgitation,reflux, heartburn and thoracic discomfort in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05); the above Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). The recurrence rate was 5.26% in the observation group,lower than that of 26.67% in the control group(P<0.05). There was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P> 0.05). Conclusion: The application of Chaihu Shugan powder combined with magnesium aluminum carbonate chewable tablets has good effect in treating gastroesophageal reflux disease,which can relieve the clinical symptoms of patients,with safe and reliable medication.
