Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Jiuwei Zhenxin granules combined with flupentixol and melitracen tablets for neurasthenia of heart- spleen deficiency type. Methods： A total of 82 cases of patients with neurasthenia were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method， 41 cases in each group. The control group was given flupentixol and melitracen tablets， and the observation group was additionally given Jiuwei Zhenxin granules based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were continuously treated for 4 weeks. Before and after treatment，the scores of psychology，emotions，and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)，as well as the symptom score of heart- spleen deficiency syndrome and clinical effect were compared between the two groups. Results： The total effective rate was 95.12% in the observation group， and 75.61% in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). The scores of Symptom Checklist-90(SCL-90) and Hamilton Depression Scale-17(HAMD-17) in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.01)，and the two scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.01). The five scores of PSQI in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.01)，and the scores above in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.01). The six symptom scores of heart- spleen deficiency syndrome in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.01)，and the scores above in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.01). Conclusion：The therapy of Jiuwei Zhenxin granules combined with flupentixol and melitracen tablets has a defined curative effect in the treatment of neurasthenia of heart-spleen deficiency type. It can effectively relieve the psychological disorders like depression， and promote the improvement of Chinese medicine syndrome and quality of sleep.
