Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Yifei moxibustion for adjuvant therapy of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) at stable stage. Methods:A total of 80 cases of patients with COPD at stable stage were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the observation group,40 cases in each group. The control group was given routine western medicine treatment, and the observation group was additionally given Yifei moxibustion based on the treatment of the control group. Before treatment and after three-month treatment,Chinese medicine syndrome scores, and scores of COPD Assessment Test(CAT) and the Efficacy Satisfaction Questionnaire for COPD(COPD-ESQ) in the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results:Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of Chinese medicine syndrome scores between the two groups(P>0.05). After one-month,two-month,and three-month treatments, Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and showed a downward trend; the score in the observation group was lower than that in the same period in the control group(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of score of CAT between the two groups(P>0.05). After one- month,two- month, and three- month treatments, scores of CAT in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the score in the observation group was lower than that in the same period in the control group(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of score of COPD- ESQ between the two groups(P>0.05). After onemonth, two- month, and three- month treatments, scores of COPD- ESQ in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and showed a upward trend;the score in the observation group was higher than that in the same period in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Yifei moxibustion has a significant curative effect in the treatment of COPD at stable stage, which can effectively improve clinical symptoms, enhance quality of life and treatment satisfaction.
