Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of pushing and pressing manipulation along meridian combined with Zhigan mixture for Metabolism- related fatty liver disease(MAFLD)， and its effect on levels of glutathione S- transferase (GST)，free fatty acid(FFA)，and adiponectin(APN) in serum. Methods：A total of 98 cases of MAFLD patients were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the study group according to the method of throwing the dice，49 cases in each group. The control group was given Zhigan Mixture orally on the basis of conventional treatment，and the study group was additionally treated with the therapy of pushing and pressing manipulation along meridian based on the treatment of the control group.The levels of FFA， APN， aspartate transaminase(AST)， alanine transaminase(ALT)， glutamyl transferase (GGT)， and GST in serum were detected by enzyme- linked immunosorbent assay. The levels of triglyceride(TG)， total cholesterol(TC)， high- density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL- C)， low- density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL- C) in serum were detected by automatic biochemical analyzer. The level of leptin(LP) in serum was detected by radioimmunoassay. Results： After treatment，the total effective rate was 95.92% in the study group，higher than that of 81.63% in the control group(P＜ 0.05). When compared with those before treatment in the same group，levels of FFA，AST，ALT，GGT，GST，TG，TC， LDL-C，and LP in serum in the two groups were decreased(P＜0.05)，levels of HDL-C and APN were increased(P＜0.05). After treatment，levels of FFA，AST，ALT，GGT，GST，TG，TC，LDL-C，and LP in serum in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05)，and levels of HDL- C and APN were higher(P＜0.05). Conclusion：The therapy of pushing and pressing manipulation along meridian combined with Zhigan mixture effectively reduces blood lipid indexes and conduces to decrease of fat deposition in the liver，thus relieving the liver function injury and MAFLD.
