Effect of Comprehensive Measures of Chinese Medicine Combined with Routine Nursing Intervention on Limb Function of Senile Patients with Cerebral Infarction Complicated with Diabetes Mellitus
Abstract: Objective: To observe the effect of comprehensive measures of Chinese medicine combined with routine nursing intervention on limb function of patients with cerebral infarction complicated with diabetes mellitus. Methods:A total of 200 cases of patients with cerebral infarction complicated with diabetes mellitus were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,100 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing based on routine medical treatment;the observation group was additionally given comprehensive measures of Chinese medicine including acupuncture treatment, point massage, diet management and emotional nursing for treatment and nursing based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were intervened for three months. Before and after treatment, the changes in the scores of limb movement function and quality of life and the levels of blood glucose in the two groups were analyzed. Results:Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the scores of limb movement function and quality of life between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, the scores of limb movement function and quality of life in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P< 0.05), and the above two scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the levels of fasting blood glucose and twohour postprandial blood glucose between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, the levels of fasting blood glucose and two- hour postprandial blood glucose in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P< 0.05), and the levels of blood glucose in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The application of comprehensive measures of Chinese medicine combined with routine nursing intervention for senile hemiplegic patients with cerebral infarction complicated with diabetes mellitus can effectively reduce the levels of blood glucose, and improve their limb movement function and quality of life.
