Abstract：In recent years，although the traditional tuina therapy has made rapid development in some areas，most of which refined its superficial aspect but neglected its profound theory，it is difficult to make substantial progress in the specific mechanism. As a new theory， sinew- membranes theory is widely used in rehabilitation， health care and other fields because of its integrity，effectiveness and guidance，which provides us with a new view of human body and methodology as well as a new vision to re- understand the mechanism of tuina. Therefore， this paper mainly discusses the mechanism of traditional tuina from the perspective of sinew-membranes theory，in order to promote the development of traditional tuina towards a more scientific direction.
