Abstract:Objective:To observe the nursing effect of auricular point sticking and point massage combined with routine nursing in intervention of cognitive impairment after stroke. Methods:A total of 90 cases of patients with stroke complicated with mild cognitive impairment were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,45 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was additionally treated with auricular point sticking and point massage. Before and after intervention, scores of Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA) and of Mini- Mental State Examination(MMSE) were compared between the two groups. Nursing satisfaction was compared between the two groups. Results:Before intervention, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of MoCA scores and MMSE scores between the two groups(P>0.05). After intervention, scores of MoCA and MMSE in the two groups were increased when compared with those before intervention, and the two scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, differences being significant(P< 0.05). The nursing satisfaction rate was 93.33% in the observation group, higher than that of 77.78% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:For patients with cognitive impairment after stroke, the intervention of auricular point sticking and point massage combined with routine nursing can enhance their cognitive function with high nursing satisfaction.
