Abstract：Fengyin tang was recorded in the fifth chapter of Jingui Yaolve. Due to its simple provisions and unique style， Chinese medicine practitioners of later generations did not pay enough attention to this prescription，and the interpretation of it was still not clear. This paper analyzes the origin and treatment of Fengyin tang in combination with the articles on Zhubing Yuanhou Lun，Beiji Qianjin Yaofang and Shengji Zonglu，and analyzes the compatibility of Fengyin tang. It is believed that all herbs in Fengyin tang are functioned together to subdue and suppress the cold and cool，guide the wind flow downward， warm the center to astringe and control，calm surging and direct counterflow downward. The diseases whose pathogenesis is interior heat and excessive accumulation and diseases like stroke，epilepsy，palpitation，tremor，mania due to extreme heat producing wind can be treated with Fengyin tang，and the medical cases of Fengyin tang are the proof.
