Clinical Study on Tianma Gouteng Yin Combined with Ear Apex Bloodletting for Adjuvant Therapy of Hypertension Emergencies and Urgencies of Yin Deficiency with Yang Hyperactivity Type
Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Tianma Gouteng yin combined with ear apex bloodletting for adjuvant therapy of hypertension emergencies and urgencies of yin deficiency with yang hyperactivity type. Methods:A total of 75 cases of patients with hypertension emergencies or urgencies of yin deficiency with yang hyperactivity type were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method,40 and 35 cases in each group respectively. The control group was treated with routine western medicine, and the observation group was additionally treated with ear apex bloodletting and Tianma Gouteng yin based on the treatment of the control group. After seven-day treatment, clinical efficacy,TCM syndrome score, blood pressure level, hospitalization time,as well as safety were observed and compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the total effective rate was 95.00% in the observation group, and 74.29% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the hospitalization time in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P< 0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of Chinese medicine syndrome scores between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Before treatment, when compared levels of systolic blood pressure(SBP), diastolic blood pressure(DBP), and mean pulsation pressure between the two groups, there was no significance being found in the difference(P>0.05). After treatment, levels of SBP,DBP and mean pulsation pressure at each time point in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the three levels at each time point in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). During treatment, there was no obvious adverse reaction in the two groups. Conclusion: Tianma Gouteng yin combined with ear apex bloodletting has a significant clinical effect on the adjuvant therapy of hypertension emergencies and urgencies of yin deficiency with yang hyperactivity type. It can effectively relieve clinical symptoms, reduce blood pressure level, and shorten hospitalization time, with good safety.
