Clinical Study on Electroacupuncture at Governor Collateral Combined with Rehabilita⁃ tion Training on Motor and Sensory Disorders After Spinal Cord Injury
Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of electroacupuncture at governor collateral combined with rehabilitation training on motor and sensory disorders after spinal cord injury(SCI). Methods:A total of 84 SCI patients were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to random number table method , 42 cases in each group. The control group was treated with rehabilitation training, and the observation group was additionally treated with electroacupuncture at governor collateral based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for three months. The scores of motor function, sensory function and quality of life were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. The clinical effect in the two groups was compared. Results: After treatment, the scores of motor function, sensory function and quality of life were increased when compared with those before treatment in both groups(P<0.05). The scores of motor function, sensory function and quality of life in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). The total effective rate was 66.67% in the observation group, higher than that of 42.86% in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy pf electroacupuncture combined with rehabilitation training for SCI can effectively improve patients' motor and sensory disorders and their quality of life.
