Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of emotional nursing combined with point application and auricular point sticking therapy for depression. Methods: A total of 98 cases of patients with depression were selected by cluster sampling method, and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, 49 cases in each group. The control group was treated with paroxetine hydrochloride tablets and given routine nursing, and the observation group was additionally treated with emotional nursing, point application and auricular point sticking therapy based on the treatment of the control group. After one- month nursing, the clinical effect and the nursing satisfaction in the two groups were compared. Before and after nursing, the scores of Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS) and Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD) in the two groups were compared. Results:The total effective rate was 95.92% in the observation group and 81.63% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Before nursing, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the scores of SDS and HAMD between the two groups(P>0.05). After nursing, the scores of SDS and HAMD in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before nursing(P< 0.05), and the scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). The total nursing satisfaction was 95.92% in the observation group and 79.59% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: Emotional nursing combined with point application and auricular point sticking therapy for patients with depression has significant curative effect, and can relieve depression degree and improve nursing satisfaction.
