A Preliminary Study on Application of Problem- Based Learning Teaching Method of Chinese Internal Medicine Based on Internet Information Platform Under the Epidemic Situation
Abstract : Objective : To analyze the effect of Problem-Based Learning(PBL) teaching method of Chinese internal medicine under the Internet information platform based on Rain Classroom software. Methods: The 2017 grade students majoring in acupuncture and massage with five- year system were selected as the study objects. Preparation before class, class-teaching,and appraisals after school were carried out by applying Rain Classroom. After class,PBL teaching activities online were performed through Tencent meeting. Finally, students were asked to evaluate changes in learning style, characteristics and advantages of courses, teaching quality, as well as disadvantages and suggestions of online teaching through Questionnaire Star. After that,evaluation results were analyzed. Results:The students whose active study ability and teamwork spirit were improved accounted for 44%~63%;the students whose imagination,memory,and organization capability were improved accounted for about 45% ; the students whose communication ability and ability of learning independently were improved accounted for about 60%. About 63% to 85% of the students thought that the teaching was consistent with the student- centered teaching idea, which enhanced the ability of learning independently, improved the cohesion among classmates, stirred up their thirst for knowledge, and enriched the professional skills. During online learning,nearly 72% of students could keep attention to study,with over 99% of satisfaction towards online lessons about Chinese internal medicine; 46% of students held that it was difficult for them to operate so many platforms; 63% of students suggested that interaction and discussion sections be enhanced in online learning;about 90% of students hoped that more practice teaching could be added. Conclusion: By applying the PBL teaching mode based on Rain Classroom, online teaching of Chinese internal medicine can improve active study ability and teamwork spirit of students,as well as their imagination,memory,and self-learning ability.
