Abstract： Shanghan Lun has created a precedent of syndrome differentiation and treatment. For acute and severe cases，it is often effective as long as the prescriptions and syndromes are consistent. This article follows WANG Jingtong's diagnosis and summarizes the following cases to provide reference for clinical practice， which includes modified Wuling powder in Shanghan Lun for dying obstinate vomiting caused by tuberculous peritonitis，modified Xiaoxianxiong tang for chest lymphatic leakage，modified Xiaochaihu tang for acute suppurative gallbladder，Guizhi Jiagui tang for psychoneurosis，and modified Maxing Shigan tang for measles complicated with pneumonia.
