Abstract： Objective： To observe the curative effect of Fuzheng Pingchuan tang combined with western medicine for allergic asthma and its effects on immune regulation. Methods： A total of 92 cases of patients with allergic asthma were selected and divided into the control group and the study group according to the random number table method，46 cases in each group. The control group was treated with salmeterol xinafoate and fluticasone propionate powder for inhalation，and the study group was additionally treated with Fuzheng Pingchuan tang based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effect was compared between the two groups. Before and after treatment， the changes in the levels of serum immunoglobulin[immunoglobulin G(IgG)， immunoglobulin A(IGA)， immunoglobulin M(IgM)] and pulmonary function [forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1)，forced vital capacity(FVC)，peak expiratory flow rate(PEF)] were observed between the two groups. Changes in Chinese medicine syndrome scores as well as levels of plasma thromboxane B2(TXB2) and endothelin- 1(ET- 1) were observed in the two groups before and after treatment. Results：After treatment，levels of IgG， IgA，and IgM in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment，and the three levels in the study group were higher than those in the control group，differences being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，values of FVC，FEV1，and PEF in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment，and the three indexes in the study group were higher than those in the control group， differences being significant(P＜0.05). The total clinical effective rate was 93.5% in the study group， and 71.7% in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，syndrome scores and levels of ET-1 and TXB2 in plasma in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment，and the three levels in the study group were lower than those in the control group，differences being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion：the therapy of Fuzheng Pingchuan tang combined with western medicine for allergic asthma can effectively improve the clinical effect，immune function and the lung function.
