Clinical Effect of Bushen Jiangu Tang Combined with Calcitonin on Knee Osteoarthritis Complicated with Osteoporosis and Its Influence on Coagulation Indexes
Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of Bushen Jiangu tang combined with calcitonin on knee osteoarthritis(KOA) complicated with osteoporosis and its influence on coagulation indexes. Methods:A total of 62 KOA patients with osteoporosis were selected and divided into two groups by simple randomization,31 patients in each group. The treatment group was treated with Bushen Jiangu tang combined with calcitonin, and the control group was treated with calcitonin only. The clinical effect, Chinese medicine syndrome scores, knee joint function, pain degree and coagulation indexes before and after treatment were evaluated in the two groups. Results:The total effective rate was 90.32% in the treatment group, higher than that of 67.74% in the control group(P<0.05). Compared with the same group before treatment respectively, the scores of Chinese medicine syndromes(joint pain, joint hypertrophy and swelling, limb atrophy and weakness, limited joint movement),Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) and the level of serum fibrinogen(FIB) were decreased in both groups after treatment(P<0.05);the Lysholm score was increased(P<0.05);and the serum prothrombin time(PT) and activated partial thrombin time(APTT) were prolonged(P<0.05). Compared with the control group after treatment, the scores of above Chinese medicine syndromes,VAS score and serum FIB level in the treatment group were all lower in the treatment group(P<0.05); the Lysholm score was higher(P<0.05); and serum PT and APTT were prolonged(P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of Bushen Jiangu tang combined with calcitonin has a significant effect on the treatment of KOA with osteoporosis, which can effectively relieve clinical symptoms, improve knee joint function and blood coagulation function, and has positive significance for the disease control.
