Abstract：This paper collected and sorted out the research progress of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of spastic hemiplegia in recent years， and reviewed from the aspects of acupuncture and moxibustion， abdominal acupuncture，scalp acupuncture，combination of acupuncture and moxibustion with other methods，etc. It is believed that acupuncture and moxibustion can relieve spastic hemiplegia after stroke， and the effect is significant without adverse reactions. It is also suggested that the mechanism of acupuncture and moxibustion for spastic hemiplegia after stroke is not clear， so comprehensive treatment should be the main treatment method for the disease， and there should be uniform therapeutic standard for acupuncture and moxibustion to treat spastic hemiplegia after stroke.
