Clinical Study on Treating Adhesion Period Periarthritis by Stretching Manipulation from Department of Traumatology in North Zhejiang Combined with Exercises for Shoulders
Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of stretching manipulation from Department of Traumatology in North Zhejiang combined with exercises for shoulders on the treatment of periarthritis at adhesion period. Methods: A total of 70 patients with periarthritis at adhesion period were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to random number table method, 35 cases in each group. The control group was given traditional msaaage manipulation combined with function training, and the observation group was given stretching manipulation from Department of Traumatology in North Zhejiang combined with exercises for shoulders. The clinical effect, scores of Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and Constant-Murley Score(CMS) before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate was 91.43% in the observation group, higher than that of 80.00% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference in the comparison of VAS scores between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, the VAS scores in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the VAS scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference in the comparison of CMS scores between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, the CMS scores in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment, and the CMS score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: The effect of stretching manipulation from Department of Traumatology in North Zhejiang combined with exercises for shoulders on the treatment of periarthritis periarthritis at adhesion period is satisfactory, which can effectively improve the function of shoulder joint.
