Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Wenbao yin combined with clomiphene citrate for polycystic ovary syndrome. Methods：A total of 76 cases of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome were divided into two groups according to the random number table method，38 cases in each group. The control group was treated with clomiphene citrate，and the observation group was additionally treated with the oral administration of Wenbao yin based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for four menstrual cycles. Follicular development， ovarian volume， hormone levels and clinical effects were compared between the two groups. Results： In the two groups， when compared maximum follicular diameter， ovarian volume and levels of serum follicle stimulating hormone(FSH)， estradiol(E2) and luteinizing hormone(LH) before treatment with those after treatment， differences being significant(P＜0.01)， and the indexes above in the observation group were better than those in the control group， differences being significant(P＜0.01). The total clinical effective rate was 92.11% in the observation group and 71.05% in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜ 0.05). Conclusion：Wenbao yin combined with clomiphene citrate has a defined curative effect in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome，and can effectively improve ovarian volume and sex hormone levels.
