Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of modified Jieyu Anshen prescription on assisting paroxetine to treat post- schizophrenia depression. Methods: A total of 76 patients with post- schizophrenia depression were selected and divided into the control group and the treatment group by random number table,38 cases in each group. The control group was treated with paroxetine, and the treatment group was additionally treated with modified Jieyu Anshen prescription based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effect and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups, and Chinese medicine syndrome score, depression symptom score and serum inflammatory factors were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results:The total effective rate was 94.74% in the treatment group, higher than that of 76.32% in the control group(P<0.05). Compared with those before treatment, the Chinese medicine syndrome score, score of Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD- 17),and levels of serum interleukin- 6(IL-6) and interleukin- 1β(IL-1β) in both groups were decreased after treatment(P<0.05); Compared with those in the control group after treatment, the above indexes in the treatment group were lower(P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 7.89% in the treatment group, lower than that of 31.58% in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: Modified Jieyu Anshen prescription is effective in treating post- schizophrenia depression with paroxetine, which can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms of patients, reduce depressive mood and inflammatory reaction, and reduce adverse drug reactions.
