Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Danshen Chuanxiongqin injection assisting routine western medicine for acute ischemic stroke(AIS). Methods:A total of 60 cases of AIS patients were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method,30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine western medicine, and the observation group was additionally treated with Danshen Chuanxiongqin injection based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for 28 days. Before and after treatment,the scores of Chinese medicine syndromes, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS), Fugl- Meyer Assessment(FMA) and Modified Barthel Index(MBI) as well as the levels of inflammatory factors including interleukin- 6(IL- 6), tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) in the two groups were compared. The clinical effect in the two groups were evaluated. Results:The total effective rate was 96.67% in the observation group,significantly higher than that of 70.00% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of Chinese medicine syndromes and NIHSS in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the scores of Chinese medicine syndromes and NIHSS in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment,the scores of FMA and MBI in the two groups were higher than those before treatment,and the scores of FMA and MBI in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P< 0.05). After treatment,the levels of hs-CRP,IL-6 and TNF-α in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the levels of hs- CRP,IL- 6 and TNF- α in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Danshen Chuanxiongqin injection assisting routine western medicine has a significant curative effect in treating AIS, and can relieve clinical symptoms, improve neurologic impairment, limb activity and activities of daily living, and reduce inflammatory responses in the body.
