Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of modified Baoyuan tang combined with warfarin for non- valvular atrial fibrillation. Methods:A total of 96 cases of patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 48 cases in each group. Based on routine treatment including lowering blood pressure, lowering blood glucose and regulating lipid, the control group was additionally treated with warfarin;the observation group was additionally given the oral administration of modified Baoyuan tang based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for three months. The duration and frequency of atrial fibrillation in the two groups were compared. Before and after treatment, the coagulation function including prothrombin time(PT), activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT), thrombin time(TT) and international normalized ratio(INR), and contents of N-terminal B-type natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP) in plasma in the two groups were compared. Results:After treatment, the onset time and frequency of atrial fibrillation in the two groups were shortened or decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the improvement of the two indexes in the observation group was more significant than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, PT, APTT, TT and INR in the two groups were significantly increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the above indexes in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of plasma NT-proBNP in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the level in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of modified Baoyuan tang combined with warfarin for non- valvular atrial fibrillation has a definite curative effect, and can effectively improve the coagulation function and heart function of patients.
