Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Qinggan Lidan prescription combined with ursodeoxycholic acid tablets for chronic cholecystitis. Methods： A total of 92 cases of patients with chronic cholecystitis were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the number of the cases by the single-double method，with 46 cases in each group. The control group was treated with ursodeoxycholic acid tablets， and the observation group was additionally treated with Qinggan Lidan prescription based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for four weeks. The thickness of gallbladder wall， gallbladder volume， and levels of total bile acid(TBA)， total cholesterol(TC)， tumor necrosis factor- α(TNF- α) and interleukin- 1β(IL- 1β) before and after treatment as well as the clinical effects and adverse reactions in the two groups were compared. Results：The total effective rate was 93.48% in the observation group，higher than that of 78.26% in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the thickness of gallbladder wall and gallbladder volume in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the thickness of gallbladder wall and gallbladder volume in the observation group were smaller than those in the control group(P＜0.05)；the levels of TBA， TC，IL- 1β and TNF- α in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the levels of TBA，TC，IL-1β and TNF-α in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). During treatment，there was no serious adverse reactions in the two groups. Conclusion：Qinggan Lidan prescription combined with ursodeoxycholic acid tablets for chronic cholecystitis can improve clinical effect， promote the recovery of gallbladder function，and relieve inflammatory responses.
