Abstract： Objective： To analyze and summarize the distribution characteristics of Chinese medicine constitution of patients with early pregnancy threatened abortion after in vitro fertilization- embryo transfer(IVF- ET). Methods： A total of 400 cases of patients with early pregnancy threatened abortion after IVF-ET were identified by Chinese medicine constitution identification instrument and software，and the data of constitution identification were evaluated and analyzed by specialists. The number of patients with different Chinese medicine constitutions was counted； the relationship between three main symptoms of threatened abortion(vaginal bleeding， abdominal pain， waist soreness) as well as three different age groups (younger than 28 years old， 29~34 years old and older than 35 years old) and constitution types was observed. Results： Among the 400 cases of patients， there were 43 cases of balanced constitution and 357 cases of biased constitution. According to the number of cases， the patients with biased constitution were ranked from high to low in order： yangdeficiency constitution > qi- depression constitution > blood stasis constitution > qi- deficiency constitution > phlegmdampness constitution > dampness-heat constitution > yin-deficiency constitution > special intrinsic constitution. Among the three main symptoms of threatened abortion， patients with vaginal bleeding had the highest proportion of balanced constitution；in patients with abdominal pain，qi- depression constitution accounted for the highest proportion；in patients with waist soreness， yang-deficiency constitution accounted for the highest proportion. Among the patients younger than 28 years old， balanced constitution accounted for the highest proportion， and the proportion of biased constitution was relatively low. Among the patients aged 29 to 34 years old，qi-depression constitution accounted for the highest proportion. Among the patients older than 35 years old，yang-deficiency constitution accounted for the highest proportion. Conclusion： The clinical symptoms of patients with early pregnancy threatened abortion after IVF- ET are closely related to age and constitution types. By assessing Chinese medicine constitution types of patients，treating with anti-abortion based on their constitution characteristics， giving psychological counseling and adjusting biased constitution， it is helpful to improve the clinical effect of anti-abortion and the successful pregnancy rate of such patients.
