Abstract：This paper analyzes the theoretical origin and clinical application of LIU Baohe's gyro-turning method in treating cancer. LIU Baohe believes that the basic mode of qi movement of human body is the circular movement of coordinated operation of "pivot， circumference and radial web"， which is postnatal. The pivot is the spleen and stomach， the circumference is the liver，heart，lung and kidney，and the radial web is the triple energizers. The movement of prenatal and postnatal qi of human body is similar to gyro rotation. Meanwhile， it is recognized that extraordinary fu organs and eight extraordinary vessels are congenital； extraordinary pathogen is a congenital pathogenic factor； extraordinary disease is a congenital disease， which includes cancer， a congenital disease. Guided by this theory， the gyro- turning method was established by LIU to treat cancer，and that is to treat it from the congenital and acquired factors. The first step is to diffuse and govern descent of the lung qi which is like initiating the rotation of the top，and at the same time，that is to make the liver qi flow smoothly，making the liver qi and lung qi supplement each other so as to let the lung qi flow downward and the liver qi upward. And combined with the specific situation， other methods can be used： warming and nourishing extraordinary meridians，harmonizing and directing adversely-ascending qi，supplementing essence and boosting marrow，tonifying and strengthening gate of vitality，eliminating and locking extraordinary pathogen，so as to treat cancer effectively.
