Abstract:Objectives:To observe the clinical effect of Chinese medicine emotional nursing on postoperative delirium in patients in intensive care unit(ICU). Methods:A total of 76 cases of patients with postoperative delirium in ICU were divided into the control group and the study group according to the random number table method,with 38 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing measures, and the study group received routine nursing and Chinese medicine emotional nursing. After nursing,the changes of scores and duration of delirium,and nursing satisfaction were observed. Results: The nursing satisfaction was 97.37% in the observation group and 89.47% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment,there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the scores of delirium between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, the scores of delirium in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the scores of delirium in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment,the duration of delirium in the study group was shorter than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: Chinese medicine emotional nursing intervention on patients with postoperative delirium in ICU has obvious curative effect,which can effectively alleviate delirium and reduce the duration of delirium,enhance nursing satisfaction.
