Abstract：Objective：To observe the effect of Xuefu Zhuyu tang and Wuzi powder combined with routine basic treatment on postoperative complications of endovenous laser treatment(EVLT) for varicosis of great saphenous vein. Methods：Based on prospective research methods，a total of 60 cases of patients with varicosis of great saphenous vein treated by EVLT were selected and divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method， with 30 cases in each group. The control group was given high ligation and EVLT of great saphenous vein as well as basic treatment，and the treatment group was additionally given the oral administration of Xuefu Zhuyu tang and the physiotherapy of Chinese medicine bag with Wuzi powder placed on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for two courses，with seven days being one course. After operation，the edema and deep venous thrombosis of the affected limbs in the two groups were observed； the regression time of postoperative subcutaneous blood stasis， thrombophlebitis and cord- like induration in the two groups were compared. The differences of prothrombin time(PT) and activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT) on the 14th day after operation were compared between the two groups. Results： After the operation， the rates of edema and deep venous thrombosis of the affected limbs in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group， and the comparison of postoperative edema of the affected limbs showed significance in the difference(P＜0.05). The regression time of postoperative subcutaneous blood stasis， thrombophlebitis and cord- like induration in the treatment group was shorter than that in the control group，differences being significant(P＜0.05). After the operation，levels of PT and APTT in the two groups were increased when compared with those before operation，and the above two levels in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group，differences being significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion： Xuefu Zhuyu tang and Wuzi powder combined with routine basic treatment can reduce the incidence of postoperative complications of EVLT for varicosis of great saphenous vein，and shorten the regression time of subcutaneous blood stasis，thrombophlebitis and cord-like induration.
