Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Yiqi Jianpi tang combined with chemotherapy on patients with colon cancer after radical treatment. Methods：A total of 60 cases of patients with colon cancer after radical treatment were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method， with 30 cases in each group. The control group was given chemotherapy， and the observation group was treated with Yiqi Jianpi tang combined with chemotherapy. The total clinical effective rates in the two groups were compared. Before and after treatment， the quality of life，pain degree，sleep quality，Chinese medicine syndrome scores，tumor markers and inflammatory factors levels in the two groups were compared. Results：The total effective rate was 83.33% in the observation group，higher than that of 60.00% in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the scores of Quality of Life(QOL) scale in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the scores of Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)，Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI) and Chinese medicine syndromes as well as levels of Carbohydrate antigen 199(CA199)， carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)，interleukin- 6(IL- 6) and tumor necrosis factor- α(TNF- α) in serum in the two groups were decreased(P＜0.05)； the QOL score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05)， and the scores of VAS，PSQI and Chinese medicine syndromes as well as the levels of CA199，CEA，IL- 6 and TNF-ɑ in serum were lower(P＜0.05). Conclusion：Yiqi Jianpi tang combined with chemotherapy has a good curative effect for patients with colon cancer after radical treatment，and can improve their quality of life and Chinese medicine syndromes，relieve pain and promote sleep quality，which may be related to reduction of levels of tumor markers and inflammatory factors.
