Abstract:Objective: To observe the clinical effect of modified Yiqi Congming tang combined with acupuncture and tuina for cervical vertigo of qi- blood depletion type. Methods: A total of 76 cases of patients with cervical vertigo of qi- blood depletion type were selected and divided into the treatment group and the control group according to different treatment methods, with 38 cases in each group. The control group was treated with modified Yiqi Congming tang, and the treatment group was additionally treated with acupuncture and tuina based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for one month. The systolic blood flow velocity of vertebrobasilar arteries, levels of fibrinogen(FIB) and total cholesterol(TC) and scores of vertigo before and after treatment as well as clinical effect were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate was 97.37% in the treatment group, higher than that of 81.58% in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the systolic blood flow velocity of left vertebral artery, right vertebral artery and basilar artery in the two groups was increased when compared with that before treatment(P<0.05), and the systolic blood flow velocity of the above arteries in the treatment group was larger than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, levels of FIB and TC in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and vertigo scores were increased(P<0.05);levels of FIB and TC in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05), and vertigo score was higher(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of modified Yiqi Congming tang combined with acupuncture and tuina has a significant curative effect in the treatment of cervical vertigo of qi- blood depletion type, which can improve cerebral blood circulation, effectively relieve vertigo symptoms, and reduce levels of FIB and TC.
