Abstract： Objective： To compare and analyze the trace elements in peucedanum praeruptorum Dunn from different producing areas. Methods：The contents of 27 trace elements in peucedanum praeruptorum Dunn from five producing areas were determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. Results：There were abundant trace elements beneficial to human body in peucedanum praeruptorum Dunn from five producing areas， and the content of heavy metals did not exceed the standard. In comparison，the content of 11 kinds of human essential trace elements in peucedanum praeruptorum Dunn produced in Lin'an， Zhejiang Province was the highest， followed by 8 kinds of human essential trace elements. Conclusion：There are regional differences in the content of trace elements in peucedanum praeruptorum Dunn from different producing areas， which can provide a basis for the quality evaluation and genuine research of peucedanum praeruptorum Dunn.
