Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of auricular point pressing with seeds on posterior circulation ischemic vertigo. Methods:A total of 80 patients with posterior circulation ischemic vertigo were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was given routine medicine treatment, and the observation group was additionally given auricular point pressing with seeds based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effects in the two groups were observed, and the Chinese medicine syndrome scores and the levels of peak blood flow velocity of basilar artery(BA),left vertebral artery(LVA) and right vertebral artery(RVA) before and after treatment in the two groups were compared. Results:The total effective rate was 95.00% in the observation group, higher than that of 82.50% in the control group, the difference being significant(P< 0.05). After treatment, the Chinese medicine symptom scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and the scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of peak blood flow velocity of LVA, BA and RVA in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment, and the above levels in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of auricular point pressing with seeds for posterior circulation ischemic vertigo has a significant clinical curative effect, which can significantly improve the clinical symptoms, blood flow velocity and cerebral ischemia symptoms of patients.
