Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu tang combined with western medicine for rheumatoid arthritis and its effect on limb function. Methods:A total of 80 cases of patients with rheumatoid arthritis were selected and divided into the control group and the study group according to the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group . The control group was treated with etoricoxib tablets and recombinant human type Ⅱtumor necrosis factor receptor-antibody fusion protein for injection, and the study group was additionally treated with Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu tang based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effects in the two groups were compared. The levels of tumor necrosis factor- α(TNF- α), interleukin- 6(IL- 6), C- reactive protein(CRP), osteoprotegerin(OPG), receptor activator of nuclear factor κB ligand(RANKL) and rheumatoid factors(RF) as well as the scores of Fugl-Meyer Motor Function Assessment Scale(FMAS) in the two groups were compared. Results:The total effective rate was 95.0% in the study group and 82.5% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of TNF-α,IL-6,CRP,RANKL and RF in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the above levels in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);the levels of OPG in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the level of OPG in the study group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment,FMAS scores of upper and lower limbs in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the FMAS score of upper and lower limbs in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu tang combined with western medicine for rheumatoid arthritis can enhance the clinical effect, relieve inflammatory responses and improve limb function, whose curative effect is better than that of simple western medicine.
