Abstract：Objective：To observe the effect of Bushen Tiaojing tang combined with ethinylestradiol-cyproterone acetate on sex hormones and spontaneous pregnancy rates in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS). Methods：A total of 68 cases of PCOS patients were selected and divided into the combination group and the control group according to different treatment methods，with 34 cases in each group. The control group was treated with ethinylestradiol-cyproterone acetate， and the combination group was additionally treated with Bushen Tiaojing tang based on the treatment of the control group. The levels of luteinizing hormone(LH)， follicle stimulating hormone(FSH)， estradiol(E2) and testosterone(T) and the incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups were compared. The spontaneous pregnancy rates were calculated after three months of follow-up. Results：After treatment， the levels of E2 and T in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)；and the levels of T and E2 in the combination group were higher than those in the control group(P＜ 0.05). There were no significant differences being found in the comparison of LH and FSH levels between the two groups(P＞ 0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 5.9% in the combination group， lower than that of 23.5% in the control group (P＜0.05). The spontaneous pregnancy rate was 85.3% in the combination group， higher than that of 52.9% in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion： The therapy of Bushen Tiaojing tang combined with ethinylestradiol- cyproterone acetate for PCOS can significantly improve the levels of sex hormones in patients， and improve the spontaneous pregnancy rate with good safety.
