Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of Chinese medicine package combined with 5E rehabilitation nursing mode on quality of life of patients with lumbar disc herniation. Methods:A total of 82 cases of patients with lumbar disc herniation were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the order of admission , with 41 cases in each group. Both groups were given conservative treatment including medicine and traction;the control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was additionally given Chinese medicine package combined with 5E rehabilitation nursing mode based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were intervened for two months. The changes in the scores of Japanese Orthopaedic Society(JOA),Oswestry Disability Index(ODI),Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) and World Health Organization Quality of Life Scale(WHOQOL- BREF) before and after treatment in the two groups were compared. Results:After treatment,JOA scores in the two groups were increased when compared with before treatment, and ODI scores were decreased. After treatment, JOA score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and ODI score was lower, differences being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, VAS scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment,and VAS score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of items including psychology, physiology,environment and social relationship in WHOQOL-BREF in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment;the above scores in WHOQOL-BREF in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of Chinese medicine package combined with 5E rehabilitation nursing mode for lumbar disc herniation can relieve the pain of patients,and improve lumbar function and quality of life.
